Post 10: English Language Challenges

Hello everybody! Today I will speak about this course “English level B1+”. Well this subject I don’t like it, because this subject has boring me and it has never really caught my attention, but I know that it is really important for my professional training. About the use of my blog I will speak that I like the activity because I practice the writing skills, I hope I have improved my writing in English for use in another subject that requiring this language.  On the other hand I think that my vocabulary is more extensive and this is very good because I must read extensive text in English and I am faster than before c:

The aspects of my English that I need to be improve are my grammar, because this is very difficult for me and I need practice more, also I need to be improve my vocabulary even more, to handle the entire language. My plan for to improve my grammar is practice read, listen and speak in English and too I practice the language in a program for Smartphone called “Douligo” that refroze some aspects of the language.

Outside the English class I use the English for the see TV-show and series, too I listen to music in English, and sometimes I speak English with the foreign in the some touristic places, and often I have read papers in English for the university. And well I think that  in a globalized as the world today is always the language used, is impossible don’t speak in English.

Post 9: 2014 Have you had a good year?

Hello everybody, the topic of this week is “good things on the life”. The good things that have happened in my life are: graduated of the school “Javiera Carrera” with all my friends in the class 2010 and also having entered at the university in the year 2012, and other good things important in my life was when I adopted my little dog “Lucky” in the year 2007 and too I want say to you, that I know my boyfriend Fabián the last year and I am very happy with hi.

The situations that did not go so well are when I reprobated the class Mathematics II, twice time in two semesters at the university; this moment was terrible for me, because my stay at the university was not sure.

My achievements in 2014 are, approved the class Mathematics II in the last semester and all my class, too I participle in the herbarium at the university for learn the names of natives plants and your distribution in Chile.

The things that I did not do are buy a pair of the roller skate for practice skating on the city, I think that I prorogated this fact for much time and this I don’t like me :C.

I would like emphasize a travel to Peru that I realized with my boyfriend in September, this travel was magnificent because I was eager to visit Machu-pichu and I enjoyed it a lot this experience.

Post 8: Let's talk about money

Hello everybody the topic of this week is the Money, I hope you do not get bored reading my opinion

The Money is not very important for me because I think that exist things more important as the health, family, love, friends, and the happiness. Nevertheless the money in this our age is fundamental for the subsistence of the people, so I think you can’t live without money.

I spend my money principally on food, because is a basic need and too because I like so much eat ice creams, pastas and french fries. Also I spend my money in clothes and accessories, but I wanted the offers at the mall. Furthermore I spend my money in small’s trips, because I like so much know news places, in special the beaches and forests of our country.

I think that I am good at managing with my dinner because I attempt save the money for the emergencies, also I am never spend my entire budget for this reason furthermore I don`t spend in expensive objects.

If I am a millenary, I invest my money in one house for my family and probably I will buy a car, also I pay my studies at the university and I would like travel of the world.

Luckily, never had I to pay any pawning, but I think if I had to pawn some valuable object I would choose my computer because I don’t pawnig belongings with sentimental value.

Post 7: How Green are You?

Hello everybody!

Today I will speak that how recycle for are more friendly with the environment  

I learn practices in videos of internet and blogs, someone techniques are “eco-ladrillos” and to I learn how do compost. In the university I learn the culture of recycling but no techniques.  

In me habits I realized eco-ladrillos, and this technique is consist in put plastic remains in a bottle and compacting the remains and also I try take up less water.  And in the past I went compost, but this process attracts rats and leaves this technique.

I don’t use a bike but I use only public transport and I prefer walk in shorts distances, but when is necessary I use a car. I have joined or supported any eco-organization but the passive form because the recycle use much time.

 I would like to teach children to recycle when they are smalls so that you can raise awareness among the population for have a better world.

For reduce my footprint I Plant trees and flowers in my garden for reduce the CO2, reduce the quantity of water for washing clothes and dishes, I use only the public transport, I do eco-ladrillos and I recycle the oil of kitchen because this pollution the water.

Our society need take a conscience environment for more friendly with the enviorontent and the government need instal policies environmet.

Post 6: A piece of news

Hello everybody!

Today the subject is a piece of a new and the name of the new Is ”After 12 days of the oil spill, SEREMI health prohibits the extraction bath and seafood in Quintero”.  This new I read in the online newspaper “The clinic” and the new was occurred in the coastal Quintero, V region (Valparaíso) in my country.   

The more impresses me at the news is the environment damage and the impact in the population caused by the oil spill I. Also resent is the contradiction between the authorities and fishermen, as the authorities tend to decrease the amount of oil spilled from 77.000.000 to 22.000.000.

I the new Participated the public institutions as ENAP and SEREMI health of Valparaiso also participated fisherman and Salvador Bonghi (biologist of Catholic University).

The oil spill affects all community outside the coast, in the special affected to the fisherman, also causes enormous environmental damage, being the most affected marine fauna and vegetation, and too affected the people who live and spend the summer in the area, this is a terrible accident for the all country, and the ocean is contaminated.

I would like read that the problem is solved in the near future and that there are safeguards against oil spills in Chile and at the world.

Post 5 my future job

Hello everybody

Today I will speak of my future job. Will I feel that is in much time, but really are 2 or 3 years. I will like job in ecology restoration, because I think that is necessary for the environment, take in account the damage that has made the people with the indiscriminate felling, the hunting, the fires, pollution inter other changes at the ecosystems.

At the university the more important is a “dynamic of forest”, because this topic teach as analyze a forest and the restoration is the more important, also other topic important is botanic because one must know which the specie adequate for one ecosystem is.

I like a job in which exist comradeship and commitment environment and social, and the work group will be a small (10 person’s maximum) and that this is near to me house in any city but also near of the nature.

I think that the aspects more important for choose a job are the reputation, the environmental view, the investigation associate.

In a job interview I say that my strengths are perseverance, enthusiasm, comradeship and for the contraire my weaknesses are the punctuality and bad temper when I don’t sleep. And finally say that I love the plants, animals and the environment.

Post 4: My best friends

Hello

Well today I'll speak about my best friend. It's very difficult to choose one person because I had many friends at the school and they are my friends today, I have a group of friends, and the name is “Masoquix”. The group was compound by Isabel, Ninoska, Patricia, Violeta, Belen and Vania. They were my friends in all time of the school “Javiera Carrera”. I lived many  happy an unhappy moments whit them, they are fantastic persons but they are a little crazy xD. First I met Isabel, Ninoska and Patricia in the year 2005, when I was in 7^Th grade I have grown and learned with them. In 8^th grade I met Belen and Violeta when they were moved to the other course for bad behavior jajaja. And Finally I met Vania in my last year at the school. Well as I was telling you I met my best friend at the school and they are my friends for more than 8 years, although I don’t visit them every time, they are always when I need them and they give me friendship, support, affection, love and sometimes telling of <3. Well and the best memory was when I danced salsa for the class “physical education”, I created the coreography for the miss but nobody knew how to dance except Belen but nobody obeyed jajaja, the moment was great to me and I'll never forget this.

Post 3: My best concert

Hello everybody 

Today I will speak about the best concert of my life, this concert was of the band The Killers, and they were at movistar arena in April 2013. And really I wanted to see this band because I didn´t go to the concert in 2009. The killers is my favorite band with Incubus and both are indie style rock.  In the concert I was excited to listen to my favorite song. I went to the concert with a friend Javiera, and she also likes the killers.

The vocalist of the band is Brandon Flowers, and I love this man I’m in love of his voice. In the concert they sang songs of their new disc “Battle born”, but I prefer the disc “Hot fuss” specially the song Mr. Brightside and “when you were young” that I listened to in the concert. Currently the killers are formed of “Brandon Flowers <3, Dave Keuning, Mark Stoemerg and Ronnie Vannucci”. 

I enjoyed so much this concert because I never sang and jumped as that time and I hope to see this band again but nearer.

Post 2: My favorite movie

Hi friends!

Today I will speak about my favorite movie and this is “The Heat”, this is a comedy movie, and the protagonists are Sandra bullock and Mellissa McCarthy. Sandra Bullock in the movie acts as "Sarah Ashburn" and She is a conservative and arrogant Agent of FBI in New York but her boss sent her to work to Boston to investigate a drug trafficker "Simon Larkin". In Boston Sarah meets a coworker "Shannon Mullis" and she is a rugged and violent police. The two policewomen have a different style to work and they arguee for all, but they could work in the case. Later the protagonists meet they look for Simon Larkin all over Boston city and they live adventures to find him.  My favorite part is when Sarah and Shannon go to the bar to look for Simon Larkin and they get drunk with the people of the bar, this part is very funny. I like this movie because it is very funny and has action and little of suspense, I wouldn’t change anything of this movie I laugh every time. 

Well I hope can you see this movie for entertainment.

POST : A place would like to visit

Hello everybody

Today I speak about a place that I would like to visit and the place selected is las vegas, in USA, I choose this place because I like so much the night life, the games of chance, the light at the night, the music and the creative architecture. Another place that I would like to visit in this country is the national park Yellowstone because this is a beautiful place for the natural vegetation, geomorphology and the geysers. Also I would like to visit in the Unites States New York, because it is a big city and I also like the architecture in some places as the statue of liberty, empire states and the parks as the central park. Unites States is a country very diverse as well in cultures, architecture, climate and nature and really I would like to travel in this country, to know every place and different people. And finally I would like to study in USA because the technology is very developed and this country has the most prestigious university of the world.

Semester 2 livel 4

Hello everybody!!

Today is my first class, in the class "Ingles B+". My name is Vanessa Cifuentes and I am 21 years old, I am forestry student and this is my third year in the carreer. My family is small, I live with my Mon “Sara”, my aunt “Nélida” and my cousin “Luz”, and I have a dog, and his name is "Lucky". My hobbies are listen to music, photograph, play football in the university, watch movie and visit the parks. 

Concerning this class, I hope reinforce the listening, grammar and speaking, because I think that this is my weaknesses in English, also I hope learn new words and language more technical according with my carreer.

Hello Classmates!
Today I speak about the video of Yann Arthus-Bertrand. The video called "A wide-angle view of fragile Earth". Yann talks about the environment and your problematic for example, he appointed of the reefs and that they are dependent of the temperature and the problematic with the oil, the fisheries overexploitation, the deforestation and more problems in the planet. And too he says that in less than 50 years, we have altered it more thoroughly in our history, the water is scarce, and the intensive farming is depleting soils, the energy recourses is not sustain, the climate change is imminent. In the ending of the video Yanns Say “We know that solutions are available today, we have the power to change this trend for the better” and he asked that so what are waiting? for change the actions. In my opinion the author of the video have all reason he says the true, we are destroying the plant and we have now detenermos; Is our responsibility to save the planet and we have to act today.
